We had a blast at the Zoo. We could get an incredibly close glimpse of most of the animals. Plus they had a number of "toddler" aged animals that acted just like our own boys.
We got to see the elephants take a bath and try to put the baby down for a nap by laying on her.
The boys fed the giraffes several time, and the giraffe even slurped Nathaniels arm up to his elbow in his mouth. We suggested Nathaniel let the giraffe have the food instead of trying to keep it for himself. BTW, Nathaniel thought it was funny and just laughed.
The favorites:
- the baby elephant, Zahara
- the 2-3 yr old walrus who stayed by the glass and played with all the kids especially Nicholas who he chased (followed) up and down the exhibit and played peek a boo with.. so cute!
- the Baboons who didn't listen to the zookeeper when it was time to go in for the night. She yelled and clapped, but the Baboons didn't listen. Finally she had to get a hose and squirt them until they went inside. The was Nicholas's favorite moment of the day!!
- the dolphin show (Nathaniel clapped and Wow'd the whole time)
- and of course feeding the giraffes.
